Archival Information

Every print created at MuddVision Studios uses an archival inkjet printing process to produce prints similiar to Giclee printing. The process produces archival results for beautiful Fine Art Reproducations.

All prints from MuddVision Studios are signed by the artist whether open edition or Limited Edition.

Each original image is scanned into a photoshop program at an extremely high resolution. Then the image is matched as closely as possible to the original painting and saved to a digital file. Once this is complete, which takes several hours, the image is then printed also at an extremely high DPI one or our Epson Printer using 7 or 8 different colors of archival ink. Epson is known for it's incredible repution of quality printing for art reproductions. The 8 colors of ink allow for the most accurate depth and color reproduction possible. And I have been extremely satisfied in my investment of printing equipment.

The paper used for Limited Edition prints is a high quality Epson paper with archival properties. For all Limited Edition Prints, I only use Printable Watercolor Paper or Velvet Fine Art Papers. All Collector's Prints are printed on the Velvet Fine Art Papers. These papers are made specifically for epson printers, and in my experience, have given the highest quality of all papers I have used for the best price. They are also a nearly exact match to the media the that the original paintings are created on.

Given the right display conditions, i.e. displayed indoors away from direct sunlight under glass, the prints purchased from this site should last up to 100+ years with no noticeable fading.

Open Edition prints are printed on a heavy stock archival paper. These prints are less archival but are still of exceptional quality and should last for 25+ years with proper handling. All open edition prints purchased from this site are signed by the artist!

MuddVision Studios Prints come in several sizes currently but is looking to standardize the sizes in the coming year. We will be phasing out the odd sized prints as new works are released. The sizes that will be available are 2.5 x 3.5 for ACEO/ATC collections, 5x7 mini prints, 8x10 prints, 12x18 prints, and 16x20's. These are the sizes of the actual printed image. The actual size of the paper will vary with borders to allow for signing and matting.

I have spent several years perfecting my printing process. I've taken courses in printing and done the research to be sure that every print that leaves my studio is perfect.

Each print is handeled with extreme care and attention. All prints are stored in an acid free clear sleeve with an acid free backing board for protection during storage and shipping. All Originals, Limited Editions, Collector's Prints, and Artists's Proofs come with Certificates of Authenticity.
